Hey everybody! I've started a huge new project. I'm going to get a bunch of people together and we're going to make an add-on for NOLF 2. The forum is located at nolfdeveloppers.jexiste.be/forum/index.php. Go have a look - and if you have a good idea or would like to participate: let us know!

Ok, at this point, it's installed and I don't understand the start up tutorial by Coty. I'm missing a window, it seems.

Maybe this will help: coty.port5.com/dedit/faq/commonfaq.htm#D1 (some text to go with the images). There's also a little bit in the first .wav tuturial - the nolf.dep you need to open might be in a slightly different location then it says there (the tutorial is for nolf1).

Ok, so at this point, I kinda forgot to add textures to my first room. Instead I made it rather large and placed a pirimid right on top of it, (The room is 2 floors below the ground level, according to the graph.) then made a plain that was right on the 0 for the X axis.
My problem at this point is no textures. I don't seem to be able to get my textures! I beleive the problem is that I need to enter a directory inwhich DEdit to find these. Could you point me to this directory?

On the left of your screen there's a tab called 'textures'. Click this and you'll see a number of folders. If you click the text 'TEX' you'll see a number of less important textures appear below. However, if you click the + next to it, you'll see a number of folders appear named after the NOLF locations. Click these to find your textures.
(of course, all this only works when you've loaded them by opening the .dep file first - I think it's TO2.dep, which you can find in your 'game' folder)

Ok, more trouble. How am I supposed to open the .dep file? it doesn't have a program to open it with, so I tried using DEdit, and that doesn't seem to work, becuase the DEdit window no longer appears when I launch it, just the little tab on the windows work bar thing at the bottom of my screen.
I'll try rebooting, becuase it actualy wasn't opening before I tried loading the .dep file.
