And I think we need some tactics for each level. Any suggestions?

Hey guys maybe we should have a stats page where we keep track of our 2005 win streak. We can write down who played for us on TNT, how many points each person got. I can give people a Points Per Round % and everything. And ill give a scoring system where we can win "points" in clan matches. Etc- Over 50 points= 2 points, 20 kills=1 point, 30 kills= 2 points, and 100 points= 5 points. Thats wouldnt be all. It seems kinda complicated but I could take care of the whole thing.....You wouldnt even have to do anything. Im probably gonna do it anyway to look at and I think it would be smart to have it on the forum. (maybe people will try harder just so they can get points)
Maybe we can have a member of the year where the player with the most points gets an award fot player of the year and they can write that they got it on their signature part of theuir posts are something
*takes a deep breath*

If you plan not to play the days for the match you would suck. When I didn't play for 5 days I was sucking already. (and soon i will be blowing o.O) EDIT - would be a nice idea

Do you have to make a new thread for every single match? Can you not just talk about tactics in general in a single thread?

Alright, next time i'll make a thread for all the matches.

I mean, a different post for every match in the matches section is good, but I would never, EVER, recomend learning new tactics for every different match. You're better off just running around like idiots.

(isn't that what we always do?) I know, just the tactics for the levels.

Yes, lol, a different form of tactic for every map has a different strategy in mind. Some focus on sniping, other close combat. Some are more for combat, others infiltration and exfiltration.
Wereas a different strategy for ever match simply creates confusion. A good balance between offense/defense and good comunication makes for a great team, wereas trying to make pre-planned attacks disallows for most adaptation per aponent. Just practise a lot and you'll have it down.

our standart strategy, by obi, devised a few months ago for another st of sfi match gosh i cant remember. and this time i belive we CAN make it work. weve got a stronger team than we had back then. i have adapted to my lag, i have recruited 2 brilliant people, exept one of em has a prob with actually showing up so here it is: team of 5-8 people. if less than 7: 1 guy remains in base, tags it, secures, stuf like that, hel know what to do. if 8 or 7,2 guys remain there and camp it, allso tags, ect. Offensive: in maps with one route. allways move in numbers but never bunched up. thats a easy target for a explosive personality like moody, simp or pretty much anyone in there. never take more than 2 weapons, we cant have like 2 guys with all tha weapons and the rest of us with tulwars. AIM FOR THE HEAD. allso, in 1 route maps, first take the small pieces. after than all of us, the offensives that is go after the core. 2 or more route maps. we allways need a core runner. who will get the core at the beggining at the match. and well need snipers to cover him. anyways im too dumb and lazy to figure out anythin else, so the rest goes for this too. and i agree, im best at runnin round like a idiot getting my score up. ;D

My suggestion for Conflict in Calcutta: At the start every one runs to the core. 1 gets the core and 2/3 cover him. The rest needs to be fast to stop them before they can get to the "middle" so we can keep them down. If we do that we have won already. Well if the above happens to us we need to play defense, not let them not get our piece! 1 tags the base the others get a good place to wait and shoot. Do not do stupid things just wait and kill to get your score up. And two players need to snipe!
p.s. I think every one knows the good corner and stuff the get in, no?

I don't think there's a single map with one route, is there? Maybe the Villa, but the base get's really confusing. Before I stopped playing Nolf2, I came up with a universal strategy for all maps. It keeps thing fairly loose, but organized enough that you're not a mess. It also requires some comunication, so get a TS server running. It kinda works in stages, like this...
Stage 1-Power Struggle for Core. Everyone on the team has to rush for the core, seeing as it's the toughest to get and it's never too smart to let the enemy get it first before attempting to obtain it. Stage 2- Post-Core Struggle. One team has maintained a grasp on the core. At this point we need to begin with a defensive set-up. (such as 1-3 people tag and camp the base. This group should also be involved in taking the small piece located in your base; however, it is sometimes smarter to wait until the end of the map to place it, for oponents can steal it off the core and gain points for stealing.) Stage 3- ...And Victory for All! Pretty much, at this point you should have obtained the core or you need to put a great force into getting it. (but not all of the force. You still need defense.) If you do have the core, then put some effort into getting the small piece in the oponents base. When it is fairly secure that you have this piece on it's way to your base, have the defense team place the small part still in your base.
The basics-Obi mentioned most of them I think. Offense needs to stick together, communicate well, etc. Stay loose enough that it makes it hard to be taken out by a single oposer's AK spray. The deffense needs to maintain large portions of good tags. (good tags meaning, don't fill a room with them, place them were someone will step on them.) Make sure that you use Teamspeak or Ventrilo to comunicate incoming oponents to the defense or possibly call in defensive reinforcements from the offense... blah blah blah... Also, focus all your concentration on one part at a time, unless you have detirmined that taking a small part and a core from the enemies base at the same time is very doable.
The Variables- For starters, the enemy can over-power you in the struggle for the core, so when the struggle ends, you have reverted some of the team to defense, your focus should still be on the core if the oponents have taken it. If the oponent takes the small piece from our base, it's just another part for the offense to get. Map variables are also to be worried about. I'll fill you in if you can get me the map names...

One general tip for the person organising. Sometimes I was so busy organising up to or even during the match that I wasn't very concentrated when playing. So make sure everything is done and everyone is there (preferably warmed up) when the match starts.

As long as I know when the match is. Remember, it's easier to see when you have a match just by checking the calendar than it is searching the entire forums. ;D Once I know where it is, I'll be there. Now I've already explained that in NOLF2 I'm the suckiest suck that ever sucked. But one thing I am good at which comes from CTF on UT is camping the base ;D So maybe I can be useful that way!
