I just got an email from gibgames and they said that they began transfering files from our current location to the new one. And if you don't know what that is, it's Dallas. They said they would email me this morning with the new IP address. Will let everyone know when they do. ;D

Ok, they have transferred the server to Dallas so here is the new IP 69.41.253.188:7777 and for WebAdmin the IP is the same just on Port 99 and Ph4nt0mL0rd, your username and pw for admin is still the same. ;D

OK, you may already know that the location of our server has been transfered to Dallas, Tx. What you may not know nor did I was that our server files and redirect IP's were unchanged. The server was transfered to Dallas but basically on a temp basis until gibgames got word from me to completely close out the old server and to issue a new redirect server. So I did respond to them today letting them know that I did want them to close out the old server and do up a new redirect. I have played on the server a few times already and I am very pleased with it's performance.
FOR SERVER IP and PORT - please refer to previous post ;D
Also, I have noticed alot more non-clan members stopping by to play on it as well, but I do get alot better connect speeds and once the redirect is fully in place and the need to redirect to the redirect eliminated, then it should be better connect speeds than what it is now. I do have some questions for Yeochins, I know he's busy with school etc. blah blah blah. But Let me know how I can maybe get in touch with you Yeochins, IM, xfire or something. I have some server admin questions for you. Cause it may take more time than I can spare discussing it on the forums with your busy schedule as well as my own schedule. ;D

Hehehe, uh....no I'm not alright fine! I'm busted...you happy now?! LOL Maybe you can PM me an email address or something, I promise I won't spam you. But if you do read this...my question: We are running UT2Vote47, it is in UT's ini file in serverpackages but whenever I have to shut down the server to upload etc. I then have to log in to webadmin and set it as a mutator then restart the server before it will actually load. How do I get it to load everytime? Since I don't really have access to command line properties as they come set already by gibgames and so it has a set command line that it runs. Also, AntiTCC is just plain irritating, I've never like it and I still don't, is there some other anti cheat mod or mutator other than like punkbuster? Also, do you know anything about creating a sound pack (.uax) for UT? Also, what section do you change detail settings in the UT2004.ini to edit the detail settings on the server (render settings, LOD, textures, coronas, world detail, weather effects etc.) and would it even be wise to change those things?

You have to bitch to gibgames because you should be allowed to have your own set command. The only way its initialized is when you define it as a mutator on the startup of the server. You could try running it as a server actor but my past experience with that has been the result of an unstable server. If at all possible do not add any anticheat of any kind. Its discomfort for some, partial lag to those who enter, versus good administrating, fast servers, no worries, and little complaints. Every server gets complaints about a cheater no matter what. Seriously your not stopping any cheat at all with anti cheat... Stupid wormbo didn't realize all you needed to use was processguard (which is public software) to hide any sort of cheat from his AntiTCC. Stupid people and punkBuster know didly squat so anyone could easily use SDProtect to hide a cheat from them. Stupid people at nProtect Game Guard didn't realize coding to hide from the OS itself will prevent their anti cheat from ever finding a cheat- nevermind hijacking the kernel proccess to do whatever we want. Only solution to cheaters is good administrating. If I wanted I could spend 8 hours of my life programming a shitload of cheats for any game that no cheat protection could catch. You cant change the detail settings on the server, its all client-sided. The server only acts as a link telling whether you hit, got in a vehicle, are touching land, are touching an object, etc. The server doesn't determine the visual aspect of the game. Yes you can create sound packs, just look on google and you will get an exporter plugin for it. All Uax is is files compressed to a certain format. Just like the uc, is just a compiled version of a .u.

Yah Obi, I can do that if it's a map that I got from a site. Alot of times when I play on a server they have a map that I like. Afterwards I use a cache extractor to extract the map from my cache, don't have any on the server yet(I don't think) but they will be eventually. Also, they apparently did do a complete relocation until they heard from me saying that we wanted to keep the Dallas location so the redirect is still in Atlanta, but I did email support back and told them that I wanted everything totally transfered to the Dallas location. Also, I can't believe that I just noticed this but...I of course have our server in my favorites but in my favorites our server ping is usually around 175, and I thought why the hell is our server ping always so high? Well, I was on the internet tab of the server browser in Onslaught and I came across our server in that list (well both servers anyway) and our ping in that window was only like 73. So apparently the favorites window shows alot higher pings, cause when I would be on the server my ping would be anywhere from 30-60 depending on how many people were playing. Yeochins, I did try UT2Vote as a serveractors line and yah, it's not a good thing doing that. There might access to the command line prefs, I suppose I should ask them and find out. Because that's how I ran it before was from the command line. So your suggestion for anit-cheat mutators is "don't bother"? K, then I'd better change those UT2004.ini settings back, in an attempt to hopefully improve our connect rates I assumed that lowering render settings thus lowering data input /output blah blah blah, but I can't believe that I totally forgot all about that. The fact that the server doesn't render anything really! uh duh. It's ok people, I have a brain on order and it will be here in two weeks. Of course after I see our server rates in the ONS window of the server browser is when I realized that the pings in my favs were incorrect. K, on the .uax here's what's I wanna do. Take .wav file convert/transfer to .uax sound pack. Here's the prob I'm having with that. I have the .wav's already set and they are formatted as PCM, 11khz, 8bit, mono ...In UE 3.0 I open sound browser and attempt to create a new soundpack and it's does show up and all is good until I try to import the .wav files. The sound browser flickers a tiny bit and then that's it, no files imported, transfered, nothing. I downloaded a Voice Pack creator and it works fine but I don't want to create a voice pack, I want to create a sound pack. In the voice pack creator you have to select binds for the .wav files such as orders, taunts etc. and it works great, and I can easy create a voice pack but it's a sound pack that I'm needing to make. HELP ME!!!! I wanna burn anything voice related now!

OMG! Thank God!!! I would love to hook you up with map links. But wow!!, that takes alot of time doing all that searching and linking...click url, cut, paste blah blah blah. Especially since most maps are downloading from filefront and you have to go through like 5 pages to get to the useable download link. Ummm, which map are you talking about? Cause like I said, some maps may come from my cache extractor so I may have missed a texture, static mesh, or even anim file when I uploaded it. Let me know and I'll try to get it fixed up. ;D
