So did anyone see the new Dr. Who? I've been fascinated with oldfashioned, low budget, cult BBC scifi series for a long time - probably because we didn't get it in the part of the country where I grew up (lots of German tv though...). To me, Dr. Who was something very vague, weird and spooky, very much defined by that incredible theme tune. And now they've made a new one.
I quite like it. It doesn't have the edgy grittiness and gorgeous special effects that some of the other remakes (Battlestar Galactica, for example) have - but that was never what Dr. Who was about anyway. In fact, some might argue that the crappy effects were part of the charm of the original series and that the new ones are too good, even. And it's not supposed to be too violent or scary - after all, it's for kids. It's one of those things that's made for kids but grown-ups can enjoy as well. At least, I quite liked it. What do you think?(And whatever happened to that Blake's 7 remake?)

I can't say I've ever heard of either. Dr. Who is my brain is just a blank spot.

I remember seening a few Eps like 15 years ago. I only remember the intro because the music was so strange. I think my Dad like it though.
