With the total laxation of members in multiple divisions, I've come to the conclusion that members frequently forget that we are a clan with hopes and ambitions to actualy get somewere, which is why I have divised a "Vow to TNT'age" which is like the presedents vow to oath, except it's done by all TNT's upon entering. It should kinda go like this.
I, ]TNT[(name), hereby vow to act as a full member of TNT by actively reading and posting on TNT's clan forums, regularly appearing on xfire, and showing up for all events whenever possible.
This should happen over Ventrilo and should be recorded, for future use.

Can we have that post deleted? We aren't talking about how well the Freelancer division is doing, we're talking about having new recruits verbally say the oath to TNT'age upon joining. This could, for intelectual reasons, increase member activity.

Sorry, I know this is sort of off topic but it refers to the "regularly appearing on xfire" portion. I had to uninstall my xfire and go through a serious hunt through my pc due to a dialog box poping up with some curse words in it during pc start up. I'm still not sure if I am free of it, but I believe it to be a cd key stealer.
In searching symantec, google etc. about file names that showed up, every search refered to worms that steal cd keys and in the description of each one UT2k4 was listed as game keys stolen.
Most of these worms were contracted through IRC's and since I don't use IRC even in UT it's very possible it was transmitted through xfire. So, if you don't see me on xfire that is why. I will be restoring my pc in about a week to be sure it's clean and should be back on xfire then. Hopefully

hey, it's cool. So long as you tell us about you're absence and give us some sort of picture on how long you will be outside of contact, then all is good, and there shall be no violation on the Vow to TNT'age.

I'm not sure whether that would be UT for me or BFV, cuz I am of higher rank in BFV, but UT is far more important to me.

[quote author=[TNT]AnnaBeaver link=board=Statements&thread=1094470476&start=7#0 date=1094501373]Sorry, I know this is sort of off topic but it refers to the "regularly appearing on xfire" portion. Being in a college of technology I can safely say that no CD-Key stealer will ever use a public service like Xfire to send CD-keys, most of them send through IRC, and no you do not need an IRC client to connect to IRC itself, a worm can access it.
Internet Relay Chat, I've built enough viruses, worms, and trojan in my time, heck I even helped build the RBot (or known to some as RxBot) that creates a botnet capable of mass destruction online, known as a trojan but it still connects to IRC whether or not they have it. Most programmers like me will code it directly to the main engine/libraries.
It is quite possible you have a CD-Key stealer since a member of the Dev team thought of stealing software CD-Keys, although we develop the software we never intend to use it (mainly for those kids online who want to do stupid things.) However none of us will ever code a trojan to ever use public services because they are just that, PUBLIC. Why use IRC? Because the government needs to veto its laws on privacy that were signed by Bill Clinton himself which can only be a termporary bypass, since the signed documents have reached an age where it is almost impossible to remove completely - although many cyber-crime organizations such as the RIAA, MPAA RIAC, etc have tried they've always lost in the supreme courts.
IRC can be private and can be legally privacy protected by the laws themselves of the UK, US, CA, Brazil, France, Austrailia, and most 3rd world countries.
So you do not need to worry about Xfire Anna, because I speak from being the person who develops these trojans that might have infected your machine.
Possible removement options: Check your services ASAP, check your windows start up registry, use an up-to-date Mcafee Scanner (they are arguably the best virus scanner besides the Exim full virus protection originally based on the Exim Email), dont use the symmatic, norton, or any other junk. Use the Mcafee Stinger. Believe me when I say this mcafee and exim are the only scanners right now capable of detecting our newest RBot versions, and after about 3 days we still havent come up with a solution around it.
Check your Cron evens (on windows systems its still a cron job however they just call it a "auto timed event" with a better interface then the linux command console for crons.)

For the rest of you guys,
I dont forget I'm a part of a clan however its just that these games are in a game - the game of life (a game inside a game.) Whatever happens in the game of life can effect the game(s) on the computer, etc. Psycho has to get busy with his game, My game is finishing this year of college, and so on so forth. When the game gets tough it will be tough to get into the game in a game (computer games.)
You know this would be much easier if we were all retired, but I got a long way from that and so do you guys. Well anyways I wish you luck on your future endevours, and when I come back I hope to see Anti TCC replaced with the Smart thingy whatever its called that is supposidly less laggier, personally right now I think Anything is better then anti TCC, although I feel safer with anti cheat protection its just not worth it if it throws my game off, when your on fire (not literally), you should stay that way, when you get interrupted setting yourself back on fire is difficult.
