This is a topic to discuss the future of TNT. Here are some suggestions I've come up with:
- keep recruiting. UT and BFV divisions are doing well but need some more players. NOLF definitely needs more.
- I'm writing a tutorial for DEdit (the NOLF worlds editor) which I want to put up on the site. Does anyone have any other useful info about other games they could put up in a similar way?
- adding these things would probably need a redesign of the website. I like the look, we should keep that. But we need to rearrange all the links. The links to other clans could go - we're not just a nolf clan anymore and they reflect that. We should also find a place for a link to the entertainment forum, to get some more traffic there.
What do you think? Do you have any ideas?

If you want a good way to put news, downloads and forums on one site you should check out phpnuke.org. Its easy to use and does just about everything. I been working on my site for a while using it. snipermonkey.dynu.net My site isn't up all the time since its on my home computer.

Do we realy need the entertainment forum? Why don't we just have one on the main forum. I think it looks better than having three forum links on the site. Getting rid of all the clan links would be a good idea. Getting links to good resources like www.bfvfiles.com and what ever the site is for the UT community forums inwhich our post is as well as www.callofduty.org.uk for the CoD division (Whats that division doing anyways?) I think the greatest sudgestion we can make is looking into future divisions. I'm pretty sure we'll be playing Counter-Strike Source as well as Doom 3. What else? From what I've heard, a certain member of the clan is looking into a BF1942 division. Maybe looking to start in some slightly older games might be a good idea. There also apears to be a game called F.E.A.R. being developed by monolith and looks good. Maybe we should look into a future in this game? Then there's the developement of the games we already play. Major recruiting eforts should be going on as well as teamplay developement crap leading to a successful few matches in the near future

I've been meaning to look into php for a while - I'll check out that site you mentioned, Spaz. As for the forums, I've always considered that Haguey's territory. Maybe the entertainment forum would work better in a new site layout where it has a more prominent place. If that still doesn't work, I would suggest adding it to this one. As for future divisions, I would suggest keeping an eye on www.metacritic.com/games/pc/. I would look for highly rated games with a focus on multiplayer options and a big marketing budget. That last part is important because in this phase an increase in members should be the main focus for the clan. We can add some smaller divisions later, when we've got a big core of players. Oh. And of course we should have the rules somewhere on the renewed site.

Yes, rules should be a prime concern. I should sudgest rules that limit members from being inactive without prior telling us as well as keep them from being rude. A punishment system should also be put in place. A three strikes and you're out type thing should work. Mind if I cut and paste them for AI?

Oh. And as for your question whether we really need an entertainment forum: I think we should have something to offer non clan member who visit the site and forums too.

You can find a thread on the rules in the statements section. I'll make a screenshot of what I'm suggesting when I've made a proposal in Photoshop. ;D

Here it is - it turns out it might take less changes than I thought at first: 1) remove 'downloads' (see 2), add a link for 'rules' (and 'entertainment'?) 2) remove links to nolf clans and replace with links to the new TNT pages about games. These would have the info now on the 'downloads' page, but split up per game and with more info added (for nolf, my map, and a tutorial for DEdit for example) - the links to other clans could to there too 3) I don't really know what to do with this spot. Maybe some links to clans who we are allied with? 4) I would like to use php to bind the news items to the forum (like, for example, the ST clan does - see nolf.stclan.org/) but right now I don't know enough about php to get it done and I don't know if I will be able to learn it on short notice. Does Nutter know php? If not, could Spaz do it? And what do you think of these suggestions?

I played around with PHP but never made anything of my own. I used other peoples projects. If you want just to post the news it might not be that bad of a project by itself. A MySQL server would need to be setup on the web server for it to work right. Also if you want to stick to more of a html coding style you can use Perl and Mason. www.masonhq.com/

We should also use this thread to think ahead for what games to expand to. Here are some suggestions: City of Heroes Pro: would add some more originality and fun to our selection of games. After all, we started as a nolf clan and too many WWII/Vietnam/other regular dark grungy FPSs would make it less so IMHO. Con: the concept of a MMORPG might not be compatible with a clan. I have no experience in this, so I wouldn't know whether that's much of a problem. More at www.cityofheroes.com. Red Ninja - End of Honour Don't know much about it yet, but it looks interesting. I like the fact that it has gadgety weapons. Will probably come out in the fall. More at www.redninjagame.com/index.html. Anyone got any other suggestions? And what do you think of my suggestions for the site? (No one has said anything yet... )

For the site, a match history would be nice... once we get going. A links area would be great, except use it to link off to recourses rather than other clan site. Maybe have another page for clan sites.
for future divisions, there is one thing that I think is essential for our expantion, and that is the next Counter strike game, called CS Source, which should be packed in with HL2. CoH will be a nice inovation, but I think that instead of calling it a clan, call it a league. CoH has that sort of thing doesn't it?

No idea. Also, I haven't been able to find it in the shops or on Amazon UK. I'll try again later (CoH, that is). Update: found it (and nolf 1 too) - now to get some money... ;D Eh... lots of money, you have to pay a monthly fee...
