Since we have a match coming up, I thought it might be a good idea to talk a bit about teamwork.
- who has a mic? Setting up sound in UT is quite easy, and it could be quite an advantage I think - do we have any ideas for tactics? I know in NOLF it can be good to attack as a group - would this work in UT, with all those big booming collateral damage weapons?

I know mobster has a mic. I have a mic. Lets see...
So long as FF is off, we can bunch up and go all out with the guns. If we play ONS, then we could work out some minor team tactics, e.g. who goes to what node and who defends which. I think the leviathan or a golliath could make a prime defensive weopon.

If it helps any, I am willing to defend in any game mode at any time. Lately I have been working on defending more nodes and destroying less. I'm starting to become pretty good with those laser turret things. When you have 1 or 2 people(depending on the total number of players and on how many nodes are currently attackable) defending, you get a lot less "Node Isolated" announcements, and those are annoying. It's just hard when everyone is attacking the same spot, so one enemy player can go in and take any attackable node.

I like isolated nodes. Easy points repairing them

And one question about attacking the core. Does it yell "power core under attack" when it gets hit or when it takes damage? In that case, the gernade launcher may be useful. By coninuously putting nades on the core, you can load it up with explosives. When you die or run out of nades, THEN goes the boom and the alarm. And they had NO idea the whole time!

I think it only says so when it takes damage.
Also: when your core gets attacked there's the dilemma of dealing with enemies at the core or going to the first node. I'd say only take on enemies at the core when you spawn near them or if they're on your route. There will be plenty of people spawning around to do that. For the rest: get that node!

I have a mic, but I dont use it much unless to tell major events such as the huge ass admiral (leviathon) on its way to hit on us, or the goliath tank that took me out 4 times in a row.
When my team gets its node isolated and I cant make it back fast enough, what I do is commit suicide, take a nice shield gun or rocket launcher aim it below me and fire, or just get in the way of someones manta and boom I'm gone.
