We really need to work on several things during our practices. For starters...
-Don't bunch up in rooms, one shock combo will take us all out. -If they get our flag, be sure to get theirs. -If you're headed towards the flag and you see someone who just happens to be carrying it, then BACK HIM UP. -Have a good way to get your weapon switch going quickly so you can access the translocator and shield guns easily. There is a keybind which allows you to pull out the shield gun and automatically fire secondary while the key is held down. Very usefull. -Practice dodging and set your double-tap speed setting to whatever's comfertable. -We also need to get better communication going. Everyone needs to invest about $30 in a headset so we can voicechat. I need to do the same.
Anything else? Spaz? Yeo?

Well I already got the headset that came with UT... Maybe we need to assign roles to everyone. Like guard, backup and flag carrier. That way everyone has a job and does only that Job. Maybe some practice using the Teleporter. Its hard to win againt players that know how to use them. Maybe better team work also. But that also goes with the roles of the team. Also that was not my sister playing... LOL If I'm pissed then I play much better. When I'm not getting into the match my gameplay starts to drop. So we need to play really pucking mad.

I think that might work quite well for us if we do it right. I mean, we don't want to put a poor defender with the flag. I'm thinking that the best killer of the team should be assigned to defending the flag, while the other two try to work together to return the flag. Should we get back to our base and the other team has our flag while we have there's, the defender should be given the flag. In the mean time, I'll play with my keybinds.

lol. I did that occasionally this afternoon in CTF. I was gonna hit tab to bust out the shield, but hit '~' instead, so I died quite quickly. Curses!

I got all my keys set up just how I like them, and have had them that way for a long time so I rarely mess up. These are the only custom binds I use. tab = best weapon shift = sniper/lightning/shockrifle(only problem with this is when I have both the sniper and lightning gun, it wont bring out hte shock rifle) middle mouse = shield gun with alt fire, release the middle mouse and it goes back to last weapon. Back button on the mouse(rarely use) = shield gun with primary fire, on realease jump, fire and switch to last weapon.(shield jump)
To get any other weapon I just roll the mouse wheel.

I think I'll mimick your tab key. hehe. I have the shield gun alt. thing going alrady, so that's cool too. The shield gun is verry usefull in CTF, particularly when you have the flag. Makes it easy to be a decoy for a covering teammate to take out attacking enemies.

For CTF, if possible know the map so you can keep your gun fixed on the enemie while you perform some sick manuvers and jump backwards. It all comes with practice and if you get good enough they'll call you a cheater.
When all else helps use a second PC to spectate yourself that way you know where your moving...
Tips...
1. USE THE BIO RIFLE!!!!! Many people are kind of dumb and dont realize leaving a trail of goo on some maps such as bridge of fate means "they will never follow you!"
2. Learn to shock combo while in motion, I can explode my shock balls when I move from one side to another. If you practice your aim and get good at it there is absolutely no way anyone can stop you as the flag holder.
3. If its a flag draw off, dont be an ass and go after the flag... Go home because either was someones going to die, better to get 1 capture than risk dualing their flag carrier which can result in failure.
4. When mines are enabled... USE THEM...
5. Always nice to have a rocket launcher in a narrow pathway filled and ready to blast.
6. In CTF never use the flak cannon unless defending.
7. The minigun can be good.
8. Do your best to protect the flag carrier, If neccessary take out your shield gun and follow him...

A bit late, but Our Lord the Phantom wrote:

and do so STRATEGICALLY - don't just run with someone, block passages, do some of the other stuff mentioned above or you'll get to Lord's point no. 1.

there is a glitch in ctf that allows 2 people to carry the flag over instant translocation, but you guys will need practice, the flag carrier will drop the flag but its force will still keep it moving, hence the ability to keep it moving over instant translocation. Me and a lot of veteran ut players have been doing this on a private server which is not advertising itself to the master server.
Competitive play, fair play, but most of all, strategic play.

You forgetting that we're on a ladder that dissallows glitches? Oh well, their fault for not allowing it. Its like giving a baby a bazooka and telling them they cant use it. They're gonna press the button sooner or later...

Well, not exactly the way I see it. The more proper word for glitch nowdays is "exploit" which refers to exploiting a game or map's coding/structure to win in generally cheap ways. It's a huge deal in TWL's Call of Duty ladders, and thus there are demos going in just about every match. Thus, if you catch someone exploiting, or in other words "not playing on an even level of restriction", you pretty much win by default. I think it would be a lot better if they just didn't make exploits at all, that way we could just play. Giving a bazooka to a baby is more like giving a constant supply of redeemers to a n00b while in a server to which one can damage himself. I don't think the baby will stay alive too long.
